In the Minority
Today I really felt like I was a member of the minority. My only outside contacts were with Vietnamese and Indians. I had my toenails trimmed at Quality Nails where my pedicurist from Vietnam could speak practically no English. Earlier in the day my two big computer problems were solved by Vishal Gupta, Faisal Husain Kidwai and Ankur Karanwai, all working in India. None of my American computer friends could solve my problems: a very annoying pop-up message that persisted on appearing at inopportune moments, and an incoming mail heading that has appeared in my in-mail box since Christmas. The Indians work for IYOGI Technical Support (promoted by Microsoft). It was expensive, but worth it.
