Saturday I attended the graduation of my grandson from Misouri University of Science and Technology at Rolla, MO. I am extremely proud of his achievement. He received a B.S. in Mining Engineering. The 21 graduates in that section wore white mining helmets instead of the traditional mortarboard worn by the other graduates. I liked that. Brian's was actually more of a chartreuse, which made him more easily identifiable. Other engineering degrees were in aerospace, architectural, ceramic, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, engineering management, environmental, geological, interdisciplinary, mechanical, metallurgical, nuclear, and petroleum. Quite a sight and thrill to see so many new young and enthusiastic engineers.
