I have developed a new strategy for my crusade to eliminate handshaking as a greeting. When meeting a person, instead of putting my hands in my pockets or saying "I don't shake hands," I'll point to a sticker on my coat, which states "Only Hugs." That's putting it on a postive note and offering a better deal than just a handshake.
