All humans on the earth today descended from a group of African ancestors, who--about 60,000 years ago--began a remarkable journey to all corners of the globe. This is the conclusion from the Genographic Project, sponsored by National Geographic and IBM. Scientists are able to reach this conclusion through the tracing of DNA. For my birthday, my daughters gave ma a kit so that I can participate in the project. By turning in samples of my DNA, my genetic lineage can be traced. Info about this interesting project can be seen at www.nationalgeographic.com/genographic
