Today Jan and I attended the annual Table of Faiths sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council. Some 1000 people attended--at the Hyatt-Regency. 15 Faiths were represented: American Indian Spirituality, Bahai, Buddhism, Christianity-Orthodox, Christianity-Protestant, Christianity-Roman Catholic, Hinduism; Islam, Judaism, Paganism, Sikhism, Sufism, Unitarian Universalism, Vedanta, and Zoroastrianism. There was a prayer given by a member of each Faith. It was quite a moving experience. All Faiths must be respected. Who is to say that one is more authentic than another?
