In my humble oopinion, Michael Phelps won the 100 meter butterfly race last night because he has longer arms. He has a wing span of 6 feet seven inches. It appeared to me that Cavic was even with or slightly ahead of Phelps with five feet to go. It was michael's final lunge with those long arms that made him the winner by one hundredth of a second.
