Nuclear Energy

In my study of energy sources, I had about ruled out nuclear power as a renewable energy of the future . Then, on the web I came across John McCarthy, pictured here. He is a Professor Emeritus of Stanford University, a computer and cognitive scientist, who has done much research and writing concerning energy and many other subjects. I sent him an email--asking him if he were the newly elected president-- what energy sources he would promote for the long term and for the short term. To my surprise he wrote, "I think nuclear energy is the best source in both the short term and the long term."
