The Syracuse Four

Chuck & Linda and Beau & Ruth. They met at Syracuse University, some 57 years ago,
Beau as Chuck's graduate student teacher. All graduated, both men obtaining PhD degrees in engineering. They ran around together at Syracuse, and they are still running around together, even though after three years together at Syracuse, they went their separate ways to different parts of the country. During these past 54 years, the four have traveled together all over, and have had many meetings, including some five Elderhostels together, including the present one at Charleston.
They are an inspiration to all of us: the sheer joy and value of lasting friendships.
