Roy Williams

K U Fans: Please don't hold Roy in contempt. He was our basketball coach for 15 years. He got us into the Final Four four times. I think he is responsiblle for our modern surge in basketball glory. I remember when he appeared before the students in the stadium, after he had turned down an offer to coach at North Carolina, and declared he was staying at KU. But I don't blame him one bit for deciding 5 years ago to return to his alma mater to coach. I only wish the offer had not been made by Dean Smith while we were in the middle of the NCAA tournament. We might have won the final game for the championship if this had not been on his mind and that of the players. But this was not Roy's fault.
Roy has been good to the University of Kansas and continues to have the highest respect and love for KU and its players.
But having said this, I do not mean to imply that I want UNC to win Saturdays' game.
Go get 'em Jayhawks.
