Council of Kansas City, Missouri

Thursday afternoon I watched the weekly session of the Council on Channel 2. I have not been following it very closely the last few years. The annual budget was up for adoption. I must say that I was quite impressed by the members of the council and the way they conducted business I think we have a very dedicated group working for the best interests of the people in our community. They had a very difficult task in putting together a budget requiring major reductions in funding for very worthwhile purposes and limited time to get it approved. The Finance Committee, through hard work, came up with the best possible solution, under all the circumstances. Citizens of Kansas City: we are in good hands.
