Something is wrong with our economic system, if a person willing and able to work has to suffer from lack of a job opportunity. As a guideline for alleviating this problem, I set forth the following premise:
All citizens of the USA have the basic right to earn a respectable standard of living. To the extent that private industry cannot provide the jobs making possible the opportunity for this, the government has the obligation to do so.
