Back in the olden days it was easy for neighbors to communicate with one another in person. Because they sat on their front porches, where they were clearly visible, and they also talked across the back fences. Now it is different. You might walk down the street or go in your back yard and see no one. However, there is a new way of staying in touch. At a rare neighborhood picnic yesterday I learned that we are all on the internet. We can be in instant communication with one another, even though invisible.
