Indomitable Nancy

Five years ago she had a spinal stroke. For three weeks she was totally paralyzed. She was doomed to be confined to a wheel chair for the rest of her life. But here she was, at our Elderhostel, and with the aid of her caring husband Don and a walker, participating in all of our activities. Through great pain and torturous therapy, she is very gradually increasing her strength and mobility and resuming her role as a leader and organizer extraordinaire. And always with a cheerful countenance. She best personifies the motto that I composed many years ago:
Make the most of your life,
At all times,
Whatever your circumstances,
With enthusiasm.
