Senator Voinovich

I "discovered" this senator when I heard him deliver a speech on fiscal responsibililty on the floor of the senate last Wednesday. He is George V. Voinovich, U. S. Senator from Ohio. He is given credit for reviving two governmental units that were on the brink of disaster: as mayor of Cleveland and as governor of Ohio. He recognizes that bi-partisanship is necessary for the much-needed reform of the entitlements and spending. In his speech that I heard, he cited the severe consequences of our failure to address the matter of our public debt. He seems to take the correct view on everything, from my point of view. His website: voinovich.senate.gov.
