Reflections after Super Tuesday

There should be uniformity as to the manner of selecting delegates to the natiional presidential political conventions. Now there are wide variations among the States and within the parties. In some States there are caucuses; in others, primaries. In some States the winner takes all; in others it is proportional. The times of the primaries and caucuses widely vary. It is all much too confusing. It should be made simpler and uniform to encourage maximum participation by the citizens.
The reason why some conservative Republicans fear McCain, because he does not always follow party lines, is the same reason democrats fear him most, and the same reason why he would make a good president. We need a maverick--one who can work with both parties.
Of the teams following the election last night, I liked best the small ABC team of Gibson, Sawyer and Stephanopoulos.

I wonder if anyone has studied the effects of having a caucus vs. individual voting? Would make an interesting study. Research on group processes shows that people often end up with more extreme views when deciding something in a group than when they decide individually.
