MY MOTHER
This is my Mother, born 1879 as Alice Jane Heinselman, later called Jennie. But to me she was always just Mama. After attending the one room country school, she attended high school in Council Grove, then Baker University, graduating in 1905. There she met my father, Levi B. Smith, who graduated in 1902. My Mother has had more influence on my life than any other person. Her many accomplishments and achievements are set out in my book "Larry and Family." This picture was recently given to me by my nephew Bob Smith. The picture is of great significance to me because it is the earliest picture of her that I have. Here she is a teenager.
