Today, at my internist's request, I had a "bone survey" of my whole body. There was reason, but no urgent reason for the request. At least 30 xray pictures were taken--costing thousands of dollars--but at no expense to me because of medicare and supplemental insurance. In view of there being millions of people not able to obtain even basic medical care, was it fair for a 96 year old man to have these xrays taken?
