REBELLIONS

Rebellions or insurgencies are erupting all over the world. What should be the involvement of our country? I am inclined to agree with Congresswoman Michele Bachmann of MN, who was interviewed on NBC's Today Show this morning concerning our involvement in Libya. She disagrees with the so-called Obama Doctrine of using military power for the purpose of humanitarian aid. She points out that in Libya we don't know who all is involved with the rebels. That al Queda may be involved. There is no assurance of a stable democratic government even if the rebels gain control. And it now appears that the rebels cannot win without other countries providing weapons, training, continuation of air support. and perhaps ground troops. Is this going to be another Iraq or Afghanistan? The Congresswoman thinks our aid for insurgents in foreign countries shoul∂ be limited to strictly humanitarian aid, without using military force. What do you think?
