At our Philosophy Class on Sept.22, before zeroing in on the question of whether a nuclear parts plant should be built in South Kansas City, I perceive the following issues for discussion:
Should defend our country by physical force when attacked (or be pacifists)?
Should we ever militarily help defend other countries?
Should we ever invade another country?
Should atomic bombs have been dropped on Japanese cities?
Should we ever use nuclear weapons in defense of our country?
Would we ever be justified in our striking an enemy first with a nuclear attack?
Should we develop nuclear plants for energy?
I would enjoy receiving any comments you would like to make.
