Downtown Grocery

This is the new Cosentino's Downtown Market, 10 East 13th St. Big deal. New grocery downtown. Having been a shopper at Downtown Kansas City for some 80 years, it was quite an interesting experience for me to inspect the place (and shop) this morning. It is located at what used to be the southwest corner of Jones Store. Much of its business is from people that walk in, from 13th or Main. If driving there, go west on 13th or east on 12th, to Walnut; go down Walnut to the entrance and you can park on that same level near an inside entrance to the store. Hours are 6 AM to 10 PM seven days a week. In the picture, you are looking straight ahead to the Block bldg. entrance. Looking thru the windows to the right, you see the Midland Theatre.
