Is it morally wrong

for an individual or a business to have extensive outdoor Christmas lighting? (Taking into account that most energy used in electrical power plants is from coal and other non-renewable sources). This and several other moral issues have recently come to my mind. In my book "Right & Wrong--Practical Ethics," published by the University Press of America in 1993, I list 10 consideratiions in connection with determining whether or not a personal decision is morally wrong. I am interested in your views on the issue I have presently raised--Christmas lighting. If, by, chance, you should be interested in looking at my book, and can't get it from your local library, I will be happy to loan you a copy.
