As stated in my book "Right and Wrong at p. 37, Dr. Bob, my mentor, stated in a sermon on July 2, 1989, "MORALITY IS NEVER MAINTAINED WITHOUT RELIGION." Dr. Bob started from scratch this church in Prairie Village and served as its senior minister until 1994. At one time it had the largest Presbyterian congregation in America. Getting back to the quotation-- when I wrote the book, I didn't accept this as being true. But now, I'm accepting it . What do you think?

Like most things involving religion, the statement can't be proved. It's a justification or rationalization for having a religion. Morality helps perpetuate the species and, I believe, so does religion. I guess they are kind of the same thing.
I agree with Dr. Bob's statement.
