We are all actors
Jaques said in Shakespeare's As You Like It, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. . ." I have given lots of thought to this line. We are in effect assigned a part when we come into this world. We have no choice as to our physical and mental self, nor as to our color or geographical location. With what we have--the role we have been given--we try to do the best we can. But unlike in a play, we can't read the lines ahead or see the ending. But I think it's more fun that way.
