Our Trip to Charleston, SC

Here we are at the Isle of Palms in the Charleston harbor, yesterday completing 5 days at the Elderhostel, held at the Coastal Retreat Center. We attended classes on these subjects: The Revolutionary War in SC; Charleston Architecture; and The Gullah Experience . There were 35 in attendance (12 couples). A great group! All very interesting, with great achievments. And we had a very talented and exciting group of instructors and staff. I became acquainted with three individuals and one foursome that were in some way most unusual, and they are the subjects of the next several postings on this blog. Some of the pictures that Jan and I took can soon be seen at our Pictures website at Picasaweb.google.com/larryrsmith8
