TO MY FAVORITE PHILOSOPHER:

I know a man who stands out in a crowd.
To be a philosopher he has vowed.

A philosopher, indeed, and just take a look
This retired Judge has even written a book.

A book about values and ethics and morals
Still this creative man does not rest on his laurels.

He takes classes and tries to learn all that he can
No subject's too boring for this interesting man.

This man is a jokester and likes a good pun
This philosoher I know is a barrel of fun.

But a man of this quality must be a myth,
Not so, he's my very dear friend, Judge Smith.
