The Smith Brothers

Here my brother Paul and I are in a tug of war over the cane that I took along to the KU Law Fiftieth Plus Reunion last night at the Boots Adams Alumni Center in Lawrence. We each carried this cane when we were K U Law School seniors, Paul in 1934 and I in 1937.
I was pleased to find that the law school now is in good hands with Dean Gail Agrawal. Former deans, Professors Martin Dickinson and Mike Davis were in attendance. I give them credit for turning things around and really putting the K U Law School up with the best of them. I was the only graduate attending from the 1930s. There are only about a dozen of us now. I made a few remarks as to how things were back in those depression days.
