Red Tape

I am trying to cut through governmental red tape to get some information about the fiscal policy of our government. It's not easy.
A beginning source is the Federal Citizen Information Center,
1-888-878-3256, www.usa.gov I have been able to quickly get a human voice at several numbers, including the Federal Reserve Bank at Kansas City and the Dept. of Treasury. The problem is that the one answering is not well informed.
