The Four Most Enjoyable

In my opinion, the four most enjoyable activities are Learning, Creating, Solving, and Performing. Learning includes learning about things and learning to do things. Creating might be about things or ideas. Solving includes solving problems, fixing, and overcoming obstacles. Performing includes such things as making a speech, singing at Carnegie Hall, or welding on an assembly line. It involves pride and satisfactiion in doing your best. I believe the greatest of these four is learning. And chronologically it comes first. Performance necessarily involves a certain amount of tension. Learning and creating need not. Granted, learning can involve great tension, but in its purest form it should not. If teaching is done right, it should be sheer joy for the students to learn. The four activities are intermingled. For instsance, if you invent a gadget that will linsulate against gravity, it will involve all four of these activities. You might wonder about Love--why isn't that considered the greatest. Love is in a different category. I would include it in the field of feelings , emotions, and mental traits, along with fear, anger, cheerful and many others.
And speaking of creativity, I consider this posting on my Blog as one of my most creative.
