Union Station
Union Station and I recently celebrated our birthdays. The Station was born (dedicated) just 10 days ahead of me. Union Station is the heart of Kansas City. Its renovation was the kick-off for the downtown renewal. And the renovation was made possible by bi-state approval of a tax. Give Johnson County credit. Without it's favorable response this would not have happened. Increasing use is being made of the Station. One of the present attractions, which I found most interesting, is the Holiday Village, a HUGE working model model train display.
