Choosing a Gift

If you can't think of the perfect gift for someone, and to avoid giving something he/she doesn't want, here is a suggestion. Give cash (which is just as good as money), with this conditiion: That the money be spent and that the donee report to the donor what was purchased, within 15 days. Ordinarily, just giving money is not very satisfying because the recipient doesn't spend the money for anything specific, and doesn't relate to the giveer what, if anything has been purchased. To give a personal example of how this suggested option can be fun for both parties: Jan gave me cash for my birthday. I had a ball yesterday, shopping with that money. I purchased a picture book of Kansas City (which I had long wanted), a new crimson and blue K U cap, and a warm flannel shirt. I showed them all to Jan, and we both rejoiced.
